Staff Accountant

Who is AB&R?

Since 1980, AB&R® (American Barcode and RFID) has been a nationally-recognized integrator of proven solutions that drive efficiency and productivity in the supply chain. Those solutions include asset tracking, inventory management, workforce mobilization, wireless networking, and the managed services to support them all. We are currently looking for Regional account manager who will actively promote American Barcode and RFID’s solution offerings to customers and grow business within a given territory.

Summary

Our ideal candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills and has recently graduated with a degree in Business/Accounting or is a soon-to-be-graduate. To perform this job successfully, you must have the understanding and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles and to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Project profitability tracking.
  • Project invoicing.
  • Maintains fixed asset ledger.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts
  • Assists and provides support to Purchasing Department.
  • Assists and provides backup for AP and AR department.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a gossip-free workplace.
  • This job location is in Phoenix and is an on-site position.
  • This position is PT or FT.
  • **Wages for this position are dependent on experience.**

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, OR a current Student who will be graduating in the Fall of 2022 or spring of 2023.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to use critical thinking skills to evaluate, analyze and synthesize. The ability to be solutions based when presented with a challenge.

 

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

Location

This position is in Phoenix at our Headquarters, and employees must work onsite.
