Our Purchasing Specialist engages with our vendors and our internal sales team to deliver Amazing Customer Experiences. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Qualified candidates will have an associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or 1 year of purchasing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
